What this page is for

AI Mock Interview is not just a single-turn Q&A tool.
It is a complete interview rehearsal workspace where you can configure profile context, generate a question plan, answer with text or voice, receive follow-up questions, and review the whole session afterward.

What you can do here

ModuleWhat you get
Interview setupPick a role, company, resume source, and interview mode to build a session-specific question plan.
Structured main questionsQuestions progress in a stable order so the session feels like a real interview instead of a random chat.
Dynamic follow-upThe interviewer keeps probing details, ownership, trade-offs, and outcomes based on your answer.
Voice input and playbackUltimate supports STT for spoken answers and interviewer playback for a more realistic flow.
Per-question review and overall assessmentReview what was strong, what stayed vague, and what to train next.
  1. Define the target job and company first, so the session stays specific.
  2. Choose a resume source: resume library, upload, or pasted resume text.
  3. Pick a comprehensive or focused mode, then start the formal interview.
  4. Answer by text or voice and pay attention to where follow-up questions keep pushing for more detail.
  5. Review the session afterward, then go back to resume optimization or the question bank to fix weak areas.

Key parts of the experience

Setup and context

This section turns job context, resume content, and interview preferences into one concrete session.
The better this setup is, the better the interview quality will be.

Question flow

The current model is:

  • fixed order for main questions
  • dynamic follow-up inside each question

This keeps the session stable while still making the interviewer feel responsive.

Voice practice

If your plan is Ultimate and voice features are enabled, you can:

  • answer through STT
  • enable automatic interviewer playback
  • replay any interviewer message from the chat

This helps expose issues that do not show up in typed answers, such as pacing, hesitation, and overlong sentences.

Review

At the end of a session, you get:

  • per-question feedback
  • an overall assessment

Do not only read the final score. Repeated weak points across multiple sessions are usually more valuable than one single result.

Mock interview quota is counted by session. Once a formal session starts and the first question is generated, it counts as one session. Re-entering the same interrupted session does not consume another quota.

How it connects with other features

This page works best as part of a loop:

  • improve the resume in AI Resume Optimizer
  • validate the wording and storytelling in AI Mock Interview
  • use Question Bank to drill weak topics
  • use AI Assistant for more open-ended practice
