What this page is for
The Interview Records page preserves each interview session so you can review by time, fill in role information, and link exam records from the same period for review.
Data sources
Interview records come from the unified record system, mainly including:
- automatic upload after a web voice session ends;
- local saving from the desktop training flow, with upload when conditions are met.
For the same account, records that meet remote creation conditions appear on this page. If you are not signed in, the session is shorter than 60 seconds, or remote upload fails, only the desktop local copy is kept.
Starting from 2.0.6, the desktop client saves interview transcripts locally in increments first, then tries to write them to the remote record system when the session ends.
The default local path is Documents/GankInterview Records/<session-time>/Interview records/. If the Documents directory is unavailable, it falls back to the application data directory.
Available capabilities
| Scenario | What you can do |
|---|---|
| List page | Browse by page, delete records, batch merge, and edit company/role/round inline |
| Detail page | View the full conversation, copy content, view linked exams, and add role information |
After you edit company, role, or round in the list or detail page, the system saves automatically. No manual submit is required.
Merge behavior
During batch merge, the system allows only records of the same type: interview with interview. It keeps the earliest record as the primary record by default and performs these actions:
- Expands the time range from the earliest start to the latest end.
- Concatenates conversation content in chronological order.
- Transfers linked exam relationships to the primary record.
- Deletes the other merged records.
Relationship with exam records
The system links records automatically by time range.
When an exam record's time falls inside an interview time range, it links to that interview. If an unlinked exam exists first and a later interview covers that range, the system also adds the link afterward.
Usage recommendation
Clean and merge records in the list first, then open details for careful editing.
This keeps the record structure tidy before you fill key information, improving review efficiency.
