Installation and login | User Guide

Download the client, grant required permissions, and sign in to Gank Interview.

After installation and login, the floating toolbar appears in the upper-left corner. Only then is the installation and login flow fully usable.

Install the client

Go to the quick start page, download the client, choose the version for your system, and complete installation.

After downloading and installing, complete Stealth mode setup and checker validation before entering a formal coding-test or interview scenario.

Windows notes

If installation fails, close security software such as Huorong and try again. Gank Interview needs to call system APIs to implement stealth capabilities, which may trigger security-software warnings.

Permission setup on macOS

The first launch prompts for Accessibility permission. Follow the instructions to open system settings and grant permission.

After macOS authorization is complete, quit and restart the app. New permissions may not take effect immediately otherwise.

Then grant the following permissions in order: screen recording, accessibility, microphone, and other requested permissions. After granting permissions, quit and restart the app.

Windows

Windows does not require additional permission setup.

When opening for the first time or when signed out, a login window appears. Click "Login" to open the browser and complete login.

If browser login fails, click "Login failed? Use Token to log in manually" in the client login window, then go to Dashboard > Account Settings > General and copy the "manual login token" to complete login.

After login succeeds, a floating toolbar appears in the upper-left corner of the screen.
